The treats are fine, but the method is divine:
Start out by choosing from the display of logs.
Position the merchant’s knife to the desired specs.
Watch as the chocolate crumbles onto the counter.
Then, after she’s scooped up the pieces and gone off
To weigh the big haul, she insists on inviting us
To gobble up all the remaining crumbs for free.

After the very high speeds of the fast train from Venice to Florence,
We switch trains to one that still carries the name Regionale Veloce.

It must make six or more quick stops within the vicinity of Firenze.
And the fastest it goes is just before the end of the line in Spoleto.

Brightly painted houses, reflected in the channel waters, are everywhere today.


Legend has it that the colors guided the fishermen in even the thickest fog.

These days, in the fog of a different sort, government permit sets the palette.
